Chloe, is a series of images that aims to explore emotions assisted by the use of chiaroscuro lighting. The current societal challenges that people are facing on a daily basis is perplexing to say the least. If someone said a year ago that the world would shut down and a deadly virus would sweep the planet, I would have told them to take a walk. The sudden changes that members of the public have had to deal with takes a toll mentally and physically. The emotions felt though this series aims to offer support surrounding this discussion. The strong contrasts of light too dark that can be identified throughout the series projects intrigue, it adds depth and confuses identity. The splashes of colour in the background suggests hope and freedom. It's about regaining a lost sense of self that has been taken away by the intrusion of the pandemic. It's ok to get lost on the way, it's all about the come back.
