This is a series of nature images that I have taken whilst out exploring. Nature to me, is freedom, it's my escapism, a calm place where I can breathe and take a step back from reality. Light-rays connote joy, their strong beams contrasted next to the dark green of the surrounding scape furthers the strength and power from the sun and how it uplifts and energises all that it touches. The deep colour of the tree trunks and their surroundings convey the conflicting atmospheres that forests can portray. An experience is dependant on the person, their mood and their story. It progresses into deep depths of fields, images where the eye can wonder and imagination comes into play. Juxtapositions of textures are important to comment on, concrete buildings seem to be buried into nature scapes what seems to engulf all man made objects. Chiaroscuro lighting is evident in images where the trees tower above the camera which projects difference. Nature is beautiful, it allows for restoration, rest and rehabilitation among myself and most of those that go out and explore what it has to offer. It reminds you that it is ok to take a break, reflect and progress from there.
