'Winter' conveys images that orientate around tonal waves within the sky tied closely with the intrusive hints of character personality. The palate portrays a sense of passiveness via the steady flow of pale blues and whites. Towards the end of the series, dark colours are identifiable and more contrasted, darker emotions are tasted and are now inflicted throughout. I created a film styled contact sheet as I edited the final images to a similar aesthetic. By adding grain and by colour grading, the overall theme of the series is complete. Olivia, the character we see, demonstrates a play of laughter juxtaposed with the hidden emotion of doubt, invasive insecurities that in everyday life, we are used to hiding but coming into another season are often challenged, uprooted by routine changes and lack of daylight. The close up of Olivias face conveys a strong focal point whilst playing with different depths off field.
